Signature - Role Model Program It started in 1979, at Spelman College in Atlanta, Georgia - one of America’s most prestigious black colleges - and became the signature program and driving force behind the New York Coalition of One Hundred Black Women, Inc. Its goal - to provide Black female students with a realistic understanding of their chosen professions; its process – an intensive series of workshops and the linking of students with professionals, which provides them an opportunity to observe the practical side of business, examine theories learned in class implemented, develop social and professional etiquette, and embrace the gift of opportunity and friendship that are needed to effectively compete in today’s workforce.
