The Committees of the New York Coalition of 100 Black Women are divided into Standing Committees and Operational Committees. All Committee Chairs and Co-Chairs are appointed by the President and approved by the Board of Directors. All Chairs and Co-Chairs must be in good financial standing and an active member of the Coalition for at least two (2) years.

Promotes awareness of the history, significance and economic aspects of arts and culture as it relates to the African American community.

Focus on educational issues through lobbying local and state legislative offices of elected and appointed officials.

Provides information, creates forums and assist in organizing workshops for potential entrepreneurs and hosting vendor projects.

Provide information on current health related issues, lobby elected and appointed officials on issues of concern to the African American community.

Support awareness through forums, discussions, visits to international institutions of issues related to people of color world wide.

Monitors, updates and archives the organization’s activities. Maintain the website; coordinate committees’ press releases about events. Work with the President to prepare communications to the media.

Participate in sponsoring and hosting non-partisan political forums. Provide information to the members about issues affecting Black women and their families in discussion in local legislative arenas.
